Who I am? What do I believe?

My top values are Experiences, Joy and Peace.

My life experiences make up who I am, what I believe, just as your life experiences make up who you are. As a coach, my beliefs are not as important as your beliefs. For many years, I have had to defend who I am because it doesn’t line up with what others think I should be. I offer up who I am, and I allow you to be who you are.

I initiated my pursuit of coaching through an anxiety disorder diagnosis. It was consuming my life, and I had to relinquish control and accept it as part of me, but not allow it to become my identity. I learned that I want to laugh until I cried. I want to laugh so hard it hurts. I want to ride the rides that scare me. I want to climb the mountains in my combat boots and trek across the desert with my friends. I want to lift the barbell and do the burpees. I want to swim again. I want to live life honoring God. At the end of the day and my life, I want to be able to say, I Lived with NO regrets!

My faith and belief In Jesus as my Savior, is the lens through which I make my decisions. This is where my value of peace comes – Jesus gives me peace that passes all understanding. I am flawed so I will make mistakes as it pertains to my faith. However, my heart and intention are to always bring him Glory. This is very important for me to note because, I can coach you even if you do not believe in Jesus. I will give you the same attention and passion as I would a believer. I say this only to know that my blogging is influenced by my faith.

I have had a successful career however, I felt that I needed more. I wanted to share my passion for health, nutrition and mental wellbeing. I want others to experience that for themselves. My vision is that through my struggles, I understand your struggles. I set a goal to become a Certified Professional Coach trainer and reach out to individuals who need a helping hand, to achieve their potential.

I am also certified as a Nutrition Coach with Precision Nutrition – Level 1. In true transparency, I STRUGGLE with nutrition. I am learning how proper nutrition can heal the body. My journey began with my personal struggle with obesity and health issues. Ultimately, I decided I was only given one body and it is time, I treated it with respect.
God teaches me most of my life lessons through my efforts to improve my personal health and wellbeing. I utilize a training coach who programs workouts for me. It is where I usually learn a deep/hard lesson, then I apply it to life in general.

A little insight into my personal life. I love my family. We are a military family. With that comes a lot of sacrifice. They did not sign up for my public lifestyle. They are an important piece of my story. Occasionally, when I write I will include details involving my family – it will either be vague, or I have permission to write it. Please don’t ask me to share their stories – they aren’t mine to tell.

I am a kid at heart. I love all things Disney. One of my dreams is to one day wear the yellow ball gown and dance the Beauty and the Beast dance with my husband. He is not a dancer, so this is a high order. I won’t give up hope though. Ever since I was a little girl, I believed I was Wonder Woman and that I could save the world. I have learned I can’t, nor do I need, to save the world – I just need to love those in my life. I am going to continue to live as if she is my alter-ego.

I love all things that glitter and sparkle. It brings me joy especially, when it comes to Christmas. I have an unbridled passion for all things that encompass the Christmas spirit. The décor, the presents, and above all, the birth of Jesus.

Our home is maxed out with fish, dogs and cats. They are a part of our family. My dream is to one day to own a farm with llamas, goats, horses and pigs.

I cannot wait to begin this journey with you. Together, reaching goals, breaking boundaries, and creating the life that brings new experiences, peace and joy.
