Morning Miracle

Have you heard of the Morning Miracle? It is a book by Hal Elrod. He has various versions of it which can be found on Amazon, and I highly recommend you version the version that resonates with you. Why I am telling you about this book today?

When I was doing 75 Hard – one of the ways I stayed on track with some of the items was by implementing the Morning Miracle. As you know, I am the girl who thinks she can do everything which means – I am relaunching my Coaching/Reiki practice AND continuing to build by career. I love BOTH and want to continue in both arenas. I had to get honest with myself on how I could accomplish that. The answer was a miracle – a Morning Miracle to be exact.

The book is classified as a productivity book, and in his own words, Hal Elrod promises to transform your life by 8am. HA. I need transformation by 8am, so I am picking it back up. AND I am asking you to join me. I know, I know, sometimes, I get you into some craziness and you can’t decide until I tell you what it involves.

There are six principles that you partake in every day, preferably spending at least 10 minutes each. if not according to this, each morning will take one hour or longer. The six principles are called the SAVERS

Silence: This one for me will be the hardest because silence causes me to go to sleep, and starting my day in silence. well, you can see where this could go wrong. However, the idea behind is simple. If your day is like mine, once you are up and moving, there is no silence. This may be the only time you have silence. I am looking forward to embracing this practice – as soon as I get passed the urge to go back to bed.

Affirmations: I have been doing affirmations for a while now, but to be intentional and start my day. Reading the words aloud that can transform my life. It is powerful stuff. I don’t remember ever spending a full 10 minutes here BUT I did start the day and continued them throughout all day long.

Visualizations: Visualizing life as you want it be rather than how it is. Visualizations should be very specific. Every day, I am going to visualize how I see the day going and impacting my current life. Then I will move to future visualization for my farm. Guys, I am really excited to start visualizing my career and coaching practice, as well as my farm. So excited for this step.

Exercise: If you love exercise, easy enough. If you don’t, walk for 10 minutes. Do yoga. The point is to get your blood pumping. My exercise will be longer than 10 minutes because if i don’t do it first thing, I don’t do it. It has been a while since i have exercised more than 3 days a week, so it will take a bit for me to get back in the habit.

Reading: Just like silence, reading puts me to sleep. However, I have so many books sitting here that I want to read. Now, in 10 minute chunks, i can start to work through my list. Book Reviews coming soon. 🙂

Scribing: I love to write. I love to journal. I have a book to write. Scribing will probably be the easiest of all of these for me, other than maybe exercising.

Are you up for the Challenge? I am going to start today. I will check back in periodically, with the first check-in three weeks from now. Will you join me and begin your own Morning Miracle?
